About Us
The General Motors Minority Dealers Association (GMMDA) is a 501(c)(6) membership organization that represents more than one-half of the General Motors minority automobile dealers in the United States.
The GMMDA works closely with General Motors Corporation, federal, state, and local government agencies, and other private entities to promote the success and profitability of existing and future GM minority-owned automobile dealerships.
The GMMDA also sponsors a number of events, activities and workshops throughout the year that promote, enhance and support its members and their dealership operations.
One of the more celebrated activities of the year is the annual GMMDA Scholarship and Awards Banquet. The proceeds from the banquet, together with contributions from GMMDA vendor partners, are used to provide scholarships to minority high school seniors and college students. Since 1987, the GMMDA and its members have provided over one million dollars in scholarships to assist minority students in achieving their educational goals.
